One Great Saturday! Two Saturday's worth of fun in one.

Meeting at Ben's to ride out to Buffalo Hollow.

At Buffalo Hollow.

Nice stage setup.

The bar is now open.

Ben in the slow race. He did really well.
 PART TWO
At Low Brow Get Down

Ferguson's Choppa

Very nice BSA.

New friends from north of the border. Thanks for dinner. Very cool.

Led Sled GPS.

Joe's new bike. Very slim.

Ferguson in the Cocktagon getting his game face on.

And so it begins.

Last man standing.
PART ONE.  The first stop on the tour was The Wounded Warriors Project fundraiser at Buffalo Hollow. The Blues Society and the Midland VFW, along with lots of help (great job Jesse and Spike!), had a two-day Bikes, Bands and Brews to benefit The Wounded Warriors Project. Really great time for a really great cause. If you ever get the chance, check out the Rich Harper Band, they kicked ass.
PART TWO. Keith and I headed to Nelson's Ledges Quarry, for Low Brow Customs Get Down. It is one of the best things going all summer. Great bikes, camping, bands, free beer, and just one hellava great party. Pat and some of the crew from Led Sled made it over. As always, it's great to see the gang and hang out. The Cocktagon was off the hook. Those guys were nuts. Hats off to Ferguson who was kickin' ass til the very end. Anyway, if you want a good old-time bike party, mark this event on your calender for next year. It's a no bullshit event, I didn't see even one sunglass or T-shirt booth! The '64 ran perfect all day, 166 carefree miles, smiling all the way.                     Posted by Doug.

well doug told most of the story.it was the longest dinner ride ever.rades cancelled.fellow riders went to bed.nothing left for us to do but drink beer, talk shit and laugh at the hipster doofus's out the window who could back up there bikes into parking spaces and commit on there new chrome thingies.BRO! the bottom line was we had a great time.stopped at gilford lake on the way home then got drowned.but in true yard gnome fashion i scroed free swag even if it was a free t-shirt for the ol'lady.in doug's post you seen the black tape seal fix of george's fxwg that was not a problem but the loose fork cap did add alittle lubracation to his favorite mustard colord riding shirt.luckily we had the proper wrench to fix the issue.RIDE,DRINK,SLEEP,REPEAT

The races in Lima,Ohio.

Sun was out when we left everything was great.
What I felt like.
This was the way it went for the rest of the weekend.
Not really sure.
Ready for a soggy ride home.
George's fork leak fix didn't hold up.
Problem solved, ready to ride again.
Went to Lima,Ohio for the flat track races this past weekend. We left under sun and blue skies which we had until 25 miles out of Lima, where the sky opened up really angry like. That was to be the weather for the rest of the weekend in Lima. After checking in and drying out some, we were informed the races were canceled for Saturday, but were to be run starting early Sunday. So what were we to do but drink. After lots of laughs and a 30 pack of PBR in the room, we headed down to the hotel bar where we drank the rest of the night with the racers who were all pretty crazy (go figure). They were buying us drinks and we all had a good time despite the canceled races. Sunday found us with hangovers and it was still raining, so the races were officially canceled. Nothing to do now but head for home in the rain. About 20 miles down the road, the rain stopped and the sun came out. The weather stayed that way all the way to Rodgers, Ohio, where we got pounded with rain bad. All in all it was still a great time 508 miles of riding, and lots of laughs. You can't let the rain dictate your life just get out and ride.            Posted by Doug.
