Relaxing weekend

Seldom Inn, Tionesta.
Had a great weekend riding and relaxing with friends. Saturday Jen and I went riding with Lori, Ron, Jeff, Al, and George. Had a great time riding and lots of laughs at our stops, especially at All Stars in East Brady. I was literally crying at one point from laughing. Would have taken more pictures but battery died. Sunday Jen and I head out alone. We ended up in Tionesta where we stopped at the lake and looked around. The visitor center was cool with some really neat old pictures from before the Army Corp. of Engineers built the dam. Flooding was a big problem for the whole area years ago. We saw one picture from 1983, where there was ice at least two feet high on the main street in Oil City. It was worth stopping to check out. Went down to the Nebraska Bridge to relax for awhile. Lots of people fishing on the banks and canoeing on the river. What a beautiful day to be out doing what you love. For me the weekend couldn't have been any better.                        Posted by Doug.

Not everyone rides a bagger

Took a ride Saturday to buy lottery tickets. Jen's boss had a dream the winning ticket was bought in a town starting with an r in Ohio. So off to Ravenna to buy tickets. Found a nice little bar that sold lottery tickets, so in we went. After a while we were off in search of lunch. After a stop in Mesopotamia, it was off to the Grand River Manor for lunch. Some more nice riding found us in Conneaut Lake where Jen and I had a room for the night. It was a great weekend to get away, the Beach Club at the park was hopping, and there was a wedding at the hotel. The hotel and Beach Club have been getting nicer every year, they are spending money and it shows. You should make the park a stop this year, they are starting their Bikes Blues and Brews again every Sunday this summer, it's always packed with bikes. As always just get out and ride, summer never lasts long enough.                             Posted by Doug.                                                           P.S. We didn't win.

Cure for a rainy day.

Setting the timing.

New hand made bags.

PANHEADS FOREVER!
Stopped by Mark's house Saturday and hung out for awhile, he was working on his '35 VL .We drank some beer had some snacks (thank you), and I learned something about setting the timing on a VL. Got to see the seat and bags he had made by a friend of his, they look great. I wish I would have taken a picture of the seat, its also covered in brown and looks incredible. I had a great time just relaxing on a rainy Saturday and look forward to seeing the VL out and about again.                                                              Posted by Doug.

The things you see out riding.

 Turd award winner.

Wow, what  some people think are cool.

Jay Wooley. Owner of Wooley Bullys.
Took a little ride Tuesday up to the Cafe 534 for lunch. The place was packed, and it was only 1:30 in the afternoon. I guess nobody else works on Tuesdays either. After a good burger and dollar Pabst Blue Ribbons, it was time to move on, funny how comfortable you can get when the beer is a dollar. Ended up in Lisbon on the way home, so we stopped at Night Court. After listening to some crazy conversation we figured we better make tracks for anger management. Just another typical Tuesday.                                         Posted by Doug.
