Wauseon 2014 - The Bikes Part II

Breakfast. Unbelievably big and delicious omelet I got at Nick's Diner in South Maumee.  Look at the size of it, and I already ate one corner.
After breakfast, did a little shopping.  Then off to the Fairgrounds.

Attended my first Wauseon National meet, but it definitely won't be my last.  Had a great time looking at all of these old bikes and meeting some new friends and hanging out with old ones.  Big thanks to Diane and everyone else for their hospitality - and for feeding me.  Can't wait until next year!

Beautiful '49.

This is just a small sample of the incredible bikes that were everywhere.  I've never seen so many great bikes in one place.

Wauseon 2014 - The Races.

The races were awesome.  I got a pit pass - worth the extra $5.  We were treated to some great racing action.  It was really cool to watch these old machines out there doing what they were made to do.  Jay Springsteen was there and raced against George Roeder.  After a neck-in-neck battle, Jay came out on top.  It was really something to be that close to the track and watch them flying by.  Matt Walksler won in an extremely close race that came down to the very end.  I will definitely be there for the races next year!

Oops!  He just hurt his pride.
