Over twenty-two years now.

Jen and I day one, May 1,  1990. We just picked it up.

Daytona 1997

Today

After 22 years, it's almost right.  I have been everywhere on this bike -- runs, parties, bike nights, bike weeks, etc. She has gone thru more changes than shown here, but this is an idea of how to turn a nice bike into a piece of shit. The motor has been built and she runs like a raped ape! I have had more fun on this bike than can be imagined, and will keep her forever.                                                                                                           Posted by Doug

Nice generator Shovel.

Found in front of Sportsters Bar and Grill, Geneva on the Lake on a Tues. afternoon.

Forty years difference. They still have the same lines, RoadKing loses on class though.                                                                          Posted by Doug.

Nice day to get away for awhile.

Sign outside the door says it all.

Al's '67 project. Check out the dolly he made nicer than you can buy.

Motor and trans. rebuilt buy Gary Rask , Rask Cycles.

Mid Ohio find '36 ford spare tire ring.

The donor for the project, a 1967 shovel all original 3,069 miles, no shit!

Just some of his stash.

Al's long time friend his 1968 FL. His hotrod Buell daily rider in background.

Light coat of grease to keep her preserved.

Beautiful scenery.

One of my many favorite stops, true class, notice the bouncer on the porch.

He escorted Jen and I right to our stools.

Hoopie Caddy.
What can I say, another beautiful Saturday of this amazing summer we're having. Jen and I took a nice ride up 68 where we spotted an old friend's bike in front of our buddy's shop. After a serious bull session, we followed Al back to his amazing log home that he built where we drank some beer made in North Versailles while we checked out his basement workshop. Al then told us that he and his wife Jane got married on his '68 shovel many moons ago, that bike is like a member of the family, I think he bought it from original owner in '71- '72? After our visit we headed in search of dinner which was found in East Brady. After a few cocktails and a really good meal, we rode on. We came across a bridge with a really nice view. We stopped and enjoyed the shade and view for awhile before heading in search of cold beverages, which we found in St. Petersburg at the Pine Inn. After some more great back roads, we found ourselves at one of my favorite spots -- the Landmark Hotel in Grove City. A true dive in every sense, I love this place. After awhile we decided to head for home with one more stop, Wooley Bullys. If you've never had the pizza, what are you waiting for! All in all another great day with my best friend and wife. There are great roads and great people out there, just get on your bike and pick a direction, not a destination. You cannot find anything from your couch!                                                                                         Posted by Doug.
