Keith gets a '69 Shovel

1969 Shovel

At her new home.

Some of the extras.

Rode with Keith to Ben and Carrie's place to pick up the '69. They had made a deal at Geneva, and it now has a new home. It was a nice deal between two friends. That was Saturday afternoon. As I sit at my bar and write this Sunday morning, I'm sure Keith has the bike back together and has ridden it. Saturday reminded me what it's all about. Life shouldn't be about "hurray for me and fuck the next guy".                                                Posted by Doug.

An afternoon at Ben and Carrie's.

Reminds me of an old train station.
1965 Electra Glide
What a lineup.
1944 WL Flathead
1948 FL Panhead
1947 F Knucklehead
One of Carrie's Sportsters
1959 FL Pan
1938 80 inch
What a great hangout.
Absolutely beautiful, I could stare at it all day.
Very cool period license plate.
I have a thing for old speedometers.
Very neat work space. I love the clock.
Just doing what it is we do.
Saturday was a great day to hang out and take it easy. Keith and I went to Ben and Carrie's to pick up a bike and relax for awhile. The garage is what I see in my dreams - full of beautiful bikes, tools and one hell of a sound system. There are some truly amazing bikes there. I could stay all day, but after a few beers and some great tunes, it was time to leave. They had to go pick up Carrie's other Sportster that I will post here at another time. Thanks guys for a nice afternoon.                                  Posted by Doug.

Relaxing weekend

East Brady. That's Big Al the King of East Brady in the background.

Allegheny River

Seldom Inn, Tionesta.
Had a great weekend riding and relaxing with friends. Saturday Jen and I went riding with Lori, Ron, Jeff, Al, and George. Had a great time riding and lots of laughs at our stops, especially at All Stars in East Brady. I was literally crying at one point from laughing. Would have taken more pictures but battery died. Sunday Jen and I head out alone. We ended up in Tionesta where we stopped at the lake and looked around. The visitor center was cool with some really neat old pictures from before the Army Corp. of Engineers built the dam. Flooding was a big problem for the whole area years ago. We saw one picture from 1983, where there was ice at least two feet high on the main street in Oil City. It was worth stopping to check out. Went down to the Nebraska Bridge to relax for awhile. Lots of people fishing on the banks and canoeing on the river. What a beautiful day to be out doing what you love. For me the weekend couldn't have been any better.                        Posted by Doug.
